Every August to October, all Skin Renewal branches become dedicated bra collection points as part of ILoveBoobies’ impactful campaign to gift each woman who does a screening with pre-loved bras. In October 2024, over 10,000 bras were collected nationally.
Skin Renewal employees also love being a part of the ILoveBoobies Secret Swim, which is another phenomenal way that this organisation raises awareness and funding for screening, but also provides a platform for women to come together in a collective consciousness.
ILoveBoobies was established in 2016 after a highly successful breast cancer awareness fundraiser. The charity’s primary goal is to educate and perform clinical breast screenings for South African women with limited financial means and restricted access to medical facilities - a critical need, as one in eight women will face invasive breast cancer in her lifetime.
What Skin Renewal loves about ILoveBoobies is that it not only educates and empowers women through the screening program, but also provides a referral path. Should a woman have an adverse test result, she can be referred to a hospital in her area to explore treatment options.
