Mesotherapy glow

Mesotherapy glow

Tired of looking old, dull and run down? All you need is a session of Mesotherapy to give your skin a healthy glow and youthful appearance!

Pioneered by the French physician Dr. Michel Pistor in 1952, Mesotherapy is a minimally invasive procedure that is widely used in Europe and elsewhere to treat various injuries and medical conditions.

By definition any medication injected into the skin, fat or tissues of Mesoderm (middle layer of skin) is considered Mesotherapy. The Mesotherapy is introduced into the skin either by small micro injections or by transdermal Mesotherapy in patients who have a fear of needles. This procedure is also known as Lipodissolve/Injection Lipolysis.

IThe micro injections are highly specific to the condition being treated and the needles used are very short and thin so the doctor can deliver the medications to the right depth. In addition, the long term results of Mesotherapy treatments are very dependent on what active ingredients are present in the solution and how many treatments are prescribed.

At Skin Renewal, we use a combination of award winning growth factors, peptides, amino acids, vitamins, nucleic acids, co-factors and hyaluronic acid. This cocktail stimulates the production of collagen so that the dermis is strengthened thereby improving skin tone and texture. The hyaluronic acid present in the cocktail attracts water and rehydrates the skin, resulting in an improved appearance. For pigmentation, patented pigmentation inhibiting peptides are used to improve hormonal pigmentation.

Anti-ageing

Intrinsic ageing, also known as the natural ageing process, is a continuous process that normally begins in our mid-20s. Within the skin, collagen production slows and elastin (the substance that enables skin to snap back into place) has a bit less spring. Dead skin cells do not shed as quickly and turnover of new skin cells may decrease slightly. While these changes usually begin in our 20s, the signs of intrinsic ageing are typically not visible for decades.

Mesotherapy stimulate the fibroblasts to produce collagen, which is the major support structure for the skin. If one can keep one's skin firm and taught with collagen, then the sagging that takes place over time can be contained as tighter skin supports the soft tissues of the face and body.

A series of treatments is necessary usually 1 treatment every 10 days for the first month and then 1 treatment every 6 to 12 weeks for maintenance. Rather than waiting until their problems are bothersome again, patients must appreciate that maintenance goes a long way and that single Mesotherapy treatments should be repeated twice yearly after an initial course.

Mesotherapy for anti-ageing also thoroughly re-hydrates and plumps out the dermis and contains the following:

• Human growth factors

• Peptides

• 55 additional supporting ingredients;

• 4 x Coenzymes

• 15 x Vitamins

• 24 x Amino Acids

• 4 x Minerals

• 4 x Nucleic Acids

• 2 x Reducing agents (antioxidants)

• Retinol, Ascorbic acid and Glutathione - powerful antioxidants, direct stimulators of collagen remodelling and pigmentation reducing agents.

• Hyaluronic acid which attracts water and instantly plumps out the dermis.

The following results can be achieved:

• Skin will appear more youthful

• Firmer skin

• Hydrated skin

• Reduced appearance of hormonal pigmentation

• Decreased sensitivity

Pigmentation

For pigmentation problems we use a serum which addresses pigmentation on multiple fronts and it is enriched with the newest biotechnology for pigmentation problems namely:

• Pentapeptide 13 and TGP protein complexes.

• Prevent melanin production;

• Blocks melanocyte activation;

• Synergistic double peptide complex combination;

• While the pigmentation component of the serum takes care of pigment, the peptides still stimulate cellular regeneration and differentiation.

Facial sculpting

For reduction of double chins and facial sculpting, we use a lipolytic which contains:

• PPC (phosphatidylcholine) which destroys fat cell

• Growth factors for collagen stimulation

Change is good

In the 1950’s women’s magazines contained articles about being a good wife and good housekeeping and the miracles of the washing machine and many other myths and mysteries that are now no longer valid. There were no diet plans or exercise regimes or the latest woman who made top job in a man’s world. Phew, difficult to believe that when you compare with what we read today.

The adverts are all about skin rejuvenation and how to stay young, and articles are on how to get to the top job and how to keep the weight down. What hasn’t changed is the latest in fashion and what you should be wearing this season. Change is inevitable, change is good, but some things do not change. Well, that’s a contradiction if ever I have heard one.

So no matter how much things change or stay the same, women always want to look beautiful, attractive and ageless. When we slap on our war paint in the morning and get into the power suit, we are there to do a job, but no way do we want to look unattractive.

Unfortunately as the chronological years pass, there are little gifts from Father Time (surely Mother Nature won’t be that cruel) that we really don’t appreciate. We read ‘keeping young’ articles with a lot more than passing interest and investigate beauty counters and their little miracles more thoroughly.

We are promised a skin transformation in a few days or weeks, and I’m sure there are lots of bottles in your cupboard that have not lived up to its promise, but this is where you have to find the best professionals that can truly offer good advice and treatment. At Skin Renewal clinics they have a whole range of treatments and beauty regimes that have been tried and tested and can be trusted. For instance, a problem like enlarged pores can be treated in various ways. There are different types of peels and treatments that can be done. All of these have the added benefit that the other skin problems like superficial wrinkles, brown spots etc, will be treated at the same time.

Peels

Let me explain a bit more. Enlarged pores tend to become more prominent as we age, because sun damage, decreased collagen production and skin thickening all contribute. In addition, one’s natural skin oil, dirt and bacteria accumulate in the pores and if not cleaned thoroughly can contribute to enlarged pores.

3D Skin Rejuvenation

Skin Renewal’s signature treatment, the 3D Skin Rejuvenation procedure, involves an effective non ablative solution and involves combining three clinical applications which are Titan, Limelight and Laser Genesis with Microdermabrasion and Transdermal Mesotherapy. All these big words basically mean that the skin is cleaned and treated thoroughly, scientifically and with proven methods. There is no social downtime afterwards, but skin looks and feels younger, smoother and those pores diminish in diameter.

Alternatively peels are recommended to assist with enlarged pores such as the Extraction Peel which is a combination of a salicylic acid peel with gentle steaming and extractions to improve congested skin, which is essential for treating pores.

The Lamelle range of beta hydroxy acid peels renew skin by lifting dead cells off the surface of the skin and stimulating the metabolism of cells underneath. Although a visible difference will be noticeable after the first treatment, a series of four to six treatments is recommended and will substantially improve the appearance of pores, fine lines and uneven pigmentation, and skin will appear smoother, softer and more radiant. Even acne scars become less noticeable, and acne breakouts may be reduced. Clean skin offers less opportunity for infection, which could reduce acne eruptions.

There is no downtime afterwards, and these peels are suitable for people of all ages as well as all skin types. The only provision is that you have to stay out of the sun whenever possible, and in addition use a SPF30+ sunscreen to ensure that your beautiful new skin stays protected and looking younger. Because skin is protected from UV radiation, pollution and environmental nasty’s, it remains younger looking for longer.

Whatever your problem, come and discuss them with the professional staff at Skin Renewal and a potential solution will be available. It’s a relaxing time and more importantly, hugely beneficial for your skin and ego. There is instant gratification in that you can see the difference in your skin!

The following areas can be treated:

• Double chin

• Fat or Flabby cheeks

• Fatty Eye Bags

• Facial sculpturing

• Skin Rejuvenation

For best results for a double chin reduction, 4 to 8 treatments are needed 2 weeks apart. After Mesotherapy for double chin and fat reduction (Lipodissolve), a mild redness and swelling of the skin occurs which usually resolves within 1 to 3 days.

The safety of the procedure is dependent on who injects the Mesotherapy product and how it is injected. At Skin Renewal, mesotherapy/lipodissolve treatments are only performed by doctors and strict aseptic condition adhered to. Hundreds of treatments have been administered to our patients with great results and minimal downtime and side effects. All skin types can be safely treated with Mesotherapy, without significant pain or down-time.

Looking after your skin should definitely be one of your new year’s resolutions this year. A new year calls for renewed skin!
