Redermalization for Pigmentation

Redermalization for Pigmentation

Why should one have Redermalization treatments?

To understand the Redermalization treatment and why it is so important, you have to grasp the causes of ageing, which are three-fold:

1. Dehydration of the skin.

2. The effect of free radicals on the skin.

3. The slowing down of metabolic processes that in turn slows down the production of collagen in the skin.

What does the Redermalization treatment do?

During the Redermalization treatment, a combination of Hyaluronic Acid and Succinic acid is injected into the skin.

Hyaluronic acid is known for its hydrating properties, which addresses the first cause of ageing.

Succinic Acid blocks free radicals and has the effect of an antioxidant with powerful restorative properties, addressing the second cause of ageing. It also stimulates the production of collagen and elastin at a cellular level, which addresses the third cause of ageing. Succinic Acid has further been clinically proven to reduce pigmentation.

What will I experience during the treatment?

A numbing cream is applied before the procedure to avoid any discomfort. The Xela Rederm is injected into the skin, meaning that it reaches the deeper levels of the dermis, giving the skin the tools it needs to rejuvenate itself. The tiny injections further stimulate the production of collagen as the body floods the affected area with healing compounds, both of which addresses the third factor of ageing.

The areas most commonly treated are the face, neck and décollete, with great results also being seen on the hands. Treatments around the eyes address fine lines, thinning skin and dark circles. The overall effect is improved skin quality, better hydration and an even skin tone.

How often should I have a treatment?

For optimal results, 3-6 treatments are required, depending on the skin quality, with 2-3 weeks between each session.
