Dr Helenka went on a road trip for some well-deserved R&R and an adventure,
through Portugal and Spain before ending, what we’re sure was a trip of a lifetime, with a week in Menorca.
Recently, Dr Ross headed to Knysna to do the 22km Knysna Forest Half Marathon. He did exceptionally well, finishing in the top 7% – completing the marathon in just 1h48min, and being a true example of the importance of balancing indoor work with outdoor ‘play’.
Meet Cari’s new four-legged ‘fur’ child! Her name is Mini, and she became the newest member of the Van Eeden’s household after her mom rejected her because she was one of twins. We’re sure you’ll agree that she is just the cutest little creature and so deserving of not only all the cuddles, but the stylish accessories, too.
On 7 July Marzet celebrated her 30th birthday with not one, but three celebrations – one for each decade! And we love this take on birthday festivities as much as we love the beautiful energy Marzet brings to our branch. Her celebrations began with a high tea at the Mount Nelson with her best friends, then she enjoyed a beautiful spa treatment with her mom, and ended the milestone celebration off with her family at Kleine Roosboom.
Making the most of the recent school holidays, Dr Rulene and her beautiful family went for a 5000km drive to, and around, Namibia – enjoying the sights, sounds and breathtaking beauty of Dooievlei, Fish River Canyon, Swakopmund and Sesriem Canyon. “As a family we absolutely loved Kolmanskop, but it was the dunes at Dooievlei which proved to be the highlight of our trip!”
Zaan and her husband, who are expecting soon, took a break from city life with each other and their daughter to her favourite destination as a child – Plettenberg Bay. “Spending time in a quiet, restful environment with family was just what I needed before our little one joins our family at the end of September.”
As a new Capetonian, Monique takes every opportunity to discover the most beautiful places to explore in her new ‘hood. She and her husband recently visited stunning Greyton for the day and also recently enjoyed a beautiful brunch at Kleine Roosboom, in our beloved – and picturesque – Durbanville area.
Zaan recently had her babyshower and you know what that means...
As we bid a temporary farewell to Zaan as she embarks on her exciting journey of motherhood, we eagerly await her return to our team. Your warmth and dedication will be greatly missed, Zaan, and we can't wait to welcome you back with open arms!
