We are celebrating our 11 year anniversary this month! Despite the challenges and obstacles we face, we continue to welcome more and more of our returning patients and new faces to our branch. We love the renewed energy that each patient brings as they embark on their skin and body care journey.

Other big birthdays that gave us an excuse to celebrate included therapists Lorraine, and Assistant Branch Managers Jené and Penelope. Each of them had an awesome day, and some chose to be home with family while Penny enjoyed a surprise paraglide!
Time clearly flies when you're having fun. I still remember the day I wrote about the birth of my beautiful daughter, Liebené. This year she celebrated her second birthday!
More news? Meet Enzo, the newest member of the Schoeman family! A super energetic Boston terrier that just loves cuddles, Enzo is the epitome of cuteness.
Another thing we’re excited about is The Dairy Den that recently opened in the Willowbridge Centre. Trust us when we tell you they have the freshest, most delicious doughnuts as well as an assortment of ice cream. They’re definitely worth a visit when that sugar craving kicks in.

Did you miss Doctor Graham when he was gone? He’s back from a wonderful holiday, rejuvenated and excited to see his patients again.
Doctor Rulene enjoyed a little getaway to Sun City.
We want to introduce the newest member of the Willowbridge family, Dr Ross Connor.
Dr Ross has impressed many patients during his short time with us. His caring, energetic nature makes him a perfect fit for our team.
Dr Ross is a breath of fresh air with his catching energy and zeal. He grew up in a loving household in Umhlanga Rocks, Durban, and attended school at Crawford College La Lucia before completing his medical degree in 2017. His internship consisted of two years rotating through all medical and surgical disciplines in the Pietermaritzburg Hospital Complex. Following this, he had completed his community service year in ICU at 2 Military Hospital.
During Dr Ross’s practical years, he had developed an increasing passion for the complexities and intricacies of aesthetic medicine, focusing on non-surgical applications.
Dr Ross is available at our branch on a Monday morning and a Friday afternoon.
Skin Renewal’s Loyalty Programme rewards our patients with the appreciation they deserve! Membership is complimentary and allows you to earn SkinBucks every time you transact in a branch. SkinBucks can be redeemed at the branch for services, products or treatments. The programme comprises three tiers, Jade, Pearl (patients receive 5% in SkinBucks for every R1 spent) and Diamond (patients enjoy 10% in SkinBucks for every R1 spent).
Please chat with me or any team member when you next visit the branch to find out what tier you are on and how many points you to need to earn before moving to the next loyalty tier.
Corporate Social Investment and engendering awareness of and empathy for our wider community are an intrinsic value of the Skin Renewal team. For over 5 years, we have had a working relationship with Streetscapes and continue to explore ways to uplift the beneficiaries in the programme. If you are eager to learn more about how you can be involved, chat with me or follow our dedicated charity Facebook page RenewedHopeZA.
Skin Renewal has been on a journey to be sustainable for some time now. We celebrate like-minded individuals and businesses and are always looking for ways to go green in our branch this month; we love the new brown paper bags from SkinCeuticals and Lamelle. The environmental benefits of a brown paper bag include they are biodegradable. A paper bag waste takes less than 6 months to degrade and is also fertile waste for vegetation.

Passionate about going green the team didn't miss the opportunity to celebrate Earth Day in April and show off their green fingers.
As we’re moving into the winter, now’s a great time to invest in the kind of treatments that can increase your skin’s sensitivity to sunlight but deliver seriously impressive results. Think Fraxel, Laser vein removal and Limelight. By booking these type of treatments now, you’ll have ample time to recover without having to worry about missing out on an outdoor event. Then, you can emerge glowing just in time for summer!
One of the great things about working at Skin Renewal is that we get to experience so many amazing products – and witness the fantastic results they deliver to our clients! Of course, we’ve all got our own favourites and are always happy to share. So, without further ado, here are #TeamWillowbridge’s skincare BFFs:
A powerful anti-ageing serum, it’s a top pick for sensitive skin as it calms and soothes while reducing redness and improving your skin’s barrier function.
Mari – SkinCeuticals Phloretin CF
A powerful antioxidant serum, it can also regulate hyperpigmentation and improve your skin’s radiance.
Lorraine - Neostrata Glycolic Peel Pads
Thanks to 10% glycolic acid, you can exfoliate and brighten with just a few sweeps of a pad!
Jene - NeoStrata Intensive Eye Serum
A hydrating eye serum containing apple stem cells and peptides protect your skin’s cells and boosts collagen production. It also includes ingredients to deflate puffiness and reduce pigmentation.
Candice - Lamelle Nourish Daily Cleanse
This soap-free cleanser gently rids your skin of make-up, oil and dirt without over-drying and contains antioxidant vitamins C and E.
This hydrating and firming antioxidant-infused cream contains 10% glycolic acid to reveal a smoother, more radiant-looking complexion.
That’s it from all of us! We hope you keep warm and well as we head towards the chilly season and look forward to seeing you soon. Remember, summer bodies (and skins) are made in winter!
