It’s been an incredibly busy but exciting month for us as we officially opened the doors of our beautiful new branch, enjoyed more than one opportunity to get glammed up and got to doing what we – as part of the Skin Renewal family – do best: transform lives. Whether we were talking on-air about past successes, packing food parcels for present challenges or looking forward to future fun in the sun, our Waterfall team has definitely made the most of month one and hit the ground running. Sometimes even in heels…  


The evening of 19 October saw the official launch of our Waterfall branch – our 18th medical aesthetic clinic and a serious contender for the jewel in the Skin Renewal crown thanks to Dr Maureen and her team’s attention to every detail.

With plenty to celebrate, the official launch was really a night to remember. Our doctors, nurses, therapists, Waterfall branch team and guests arrived glammed up and downright ready to enjoy good company, delish food and great conversation. It was wonderful to have all who encompass our Skin Renewal family together and, as always, inspiring to be a part of a business that continues to grow from strength to strength.

With its wide-open spaces, contemporary interior décor and abundance of natural light (perfect for post-treatment selfies), the Waterfall branch, which shares the same space as The Courtyard Hotel Midrand, achieves the seemingly impossible: absolute tranquility, slap bang in the middle of the always-busy, ever-growing Waterfall District.

Oh, and did we mention that we have a spa? Yes, an actual, bona fide, “make a day of it with the girls” spa. Our spa menu includes all your #SpaDay favourites and we can organise a lunch for you and your squad or significant other at the hotel, too.

And, because few people need some “me time” in our beautiful space more than stressed out professionals, we offer preferential bookings and a variety of lunch-break treatments for those working in the area. So, you can multi-task as ‘go-getter’ and ‘glow-getter’ as easily as you juggle work deadlines and school lunchboxes.

While the new branch’s décor was a feast for the eyes, the event’s catering was a feast for the tastebuds. 


Dr Lestonn Lawn, Dr Helenka Fourie and some of our diamond patients had the privilege of attending a gourmet (and exclusive) ‘wine & dine’ experience hosted by the Courtyard Hotel Waterfall City. The talk of the town, the event saw Arendsig Single Vineyard Wine’s award-winning winemaker, Lourens van der Westhuizen, introduce its exceptional portfolio of renowned wines.

What makes these wines so exceptional? Well, for starters, they’re made with minimal interference. Then, to bring out the unique vineyard characteristics – specific to the estate – maturation takes place in neutral vessels. Simply put, the vineyard brings out the best from its subject matter, using its expertise and skills to reveal what was already there, beneath the surface. We can relate to that 😉

The Skin Renewal Waterfall team joined the Attacq Foundation at Mall of Africa on Friday 22 October in support of the ‘Rise against Hunger in Africa’ initiative. In the spirit of making a change, one food parcel at a time, this challenge was spread across a number of shopping malls where 90 000 food parcels were made in 5 hours, highlighting not only our mad teamwork skills but our ongoing commitment to always being prepared – and willing – to rise to the challenge.

The Skin Renewal Waterfall team rose to the challenge, taking part in packing 90 000 food parcels in 5 hours.
