A hearty hello from one of the most gorgeous – we know, we're biased – places in the Province. What can we say? We're hard and fast Stellies fans, and we love our beautiful branch, town, community and all it has to offer. When you visit us at Die Boord, it's not just an opportunity to have some of the leading non-invasive treatments in SA but also to enjoy some of the country's best food, wine and lifestyle experiences. And we love to share our latest discoveries! So here's some insider advice plus the latest treatment and product news we've been itching to share.

It's starting to get quite wintry in our neck of the woods, so take a minute and get cosy!

Lisa's wedding is approaching fast – next month! Engaged end of last year, she's getting married on the 18th of June. We wish her everything of the best in the final preparations for the big day!

Like many of us, things have been feeling more "normal." We're starting to travel for work again, celebrate special days together, and enjoy feeling more spontaneous.

In February, Anneke hopped on a plane to attend the Leaders Conference in Joburg. Yes, an actual in-person conference! And then we had a happy two months of birthday celebrations at our branch – and mountains of cake. We celebrated Megan, Lisa and Anneke in March and April, and all these special days were the perfect way to kick off the first part of 2022!

Our beautiful Cape Town Branch Leaders are off to Joburg!

From left to right: Marzet (Willowbridge), Lee-Zay (Claremont), Anneke (Stellenbosch), Storm (Cape Quarter), Helette (Paarl) and Charleen (Constantia)

Our kids also did amazing things, and for this, we're so grateful. There were significant "firsts" for our little ones who were able to go back to school for the first days – which now seems like a distant memory – in person after a challenging two years.

Hooray for Anneke's son Lian who started grade 1 this year (little Nina is soon to be 3), and Dr Rulene's daughter Stella who started Grade R. Big steps for both!

Introducing: Sculptra Injectables

TURN BACK TIME WITH OUR NEW “SUPER INJECTABLE”, SCULPTRA.

Always abreast of the most innovative and cutting-edge trends in the world of aesthetics, we’re proud to officially announce that Sculptra – “The talk of the aesthetics industry town” – is now available at all of our 18 branches, nationwide.

Why are we so excited about this addition to our treatment menu?

1.  Sculptra is the first and only FDA-approved PLLA (Poly-L-Lactic-Acid) facial injectable treatment proven to stimulate the skin’s own collagen production.

2. Sculptra works gradually to rebuild collagen; restoring the skin’s scaffolding from the inside out.

3. As an injectable, Sculptra delivers a substantial collagen boost at the deepest layers of your skin.

4. A series of just three Sculptra treatments improves the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, delivering an overall more youthful-looking appearance.

5. 94% of Sculptra clients agree that their treatment results look natural two years after treatment.

Why should you consider Scupltra?

From our mid-twenties, most of us experience a decrease in collagen production of about 1%. By our mid-40s we’re looking at that percentage having steadily increased, year on year, to 25%. So, while you may not notice the decrease of collagen in your 20s, by the time you’re nearing 50, your skin’s mid-life crisis could be well – and noticeably – underway.

So, if you want to target the underlying causes of facial ageing proactively, not just address the symptoms reactively, a series of Sculptra treatments is the answer.

To find out more about our Sculptra treatments, chat to your therapist or doctor at your next appointment.

A Stroll Through Stellenbosch: Eat like a Local

We're hooked on our hood's unique places to have some of the country's best wining and dining experiences. Or grab a coffee and enjoy café culture. A beautiful town to walk through – head for Plein, Church and Dorp Streets in particular – there's no end to places and spaces to wander around and then graze on delicious treats before or after your Skin Renewal treatment.

The Fat Butcher | 1 Van Riebeeck Street, Stellenbosch

Dinner at The Fat Butcher has to be one of our favourites! From their amazing food, to the beautiful decor and festive ambiance (by the way, we love the old fashioned “los lekkers” at the end of the meal), this eatery continues to wow us.

Meraki (43 Church Street, Stellenbosch) is newly located with drool-worthy menu that gets us up and at ‘em for breakfast! A super stylish but unpretentious spot for day time meals (it’s open 7am to 7pm), the interior is inspiring as is the fresh, simple and delicious food. Go there!

The Vine Bistro at Glenelly Estate

This wine estate experience is not too far from town. In other words, it’s super-quick to access Die Boord (about 7 to 10 minutes). Enjoy a gorgeous lunch with views of vineyards in a real Cape garden setting. The menu is French-inspired but so unfussy and generous. A real treat of a restaurant overlooking the gorgeous Stellenbosch mountains and more!

You've heard of vitamins A, B and C. But how about Vitamin IV?
Branch Newsletter Image

A cocktail of minerals and antioxidants, Intravenous Vitamin (IV) therapies enable patients to absorb up to ten times more nutrients than they could get orally in one day. For example, vitamin C, which can effectively treat colds, flu, and the symptoms caused by viruses when taken in high doses.

At Skin Renewal, our lovely Nurse Wilna offers customised intravenous vitamin therapy (administered in our comfortable and relaxing in-branch infusion suites) tailored to what your body needs from our ‘menu’ of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants.

Come in and chat to Nurse Wilna about how taking your vitamins intravenously can help build your immune system and tackle any health issues you may be having.

Transforming Lives. Period.
Branch Newsletter Image

Skin Renewal’s vision is to facilitate the infinite transformation of all the lives we touch. This year, we’re partnering with Komani to transform young lives by helping to stop period poverty. Every year, 10,000 girls miss school due to not having proper sanitary wear.

Komani produces high quality reusable, washable sanitary pads, which are both sustainable and environmentally friendly. We aim to donate 1000 packs of reusable sanitary packs to each charity we support. For every 100 packs we receive, we will spend time with the beneficiaries educating them on personal hygiene and how to use and maintain their sanitary pack. The cost of a pack is just R150, and the pads can last up to three years, requiring only 6 litres of water to wash the pads for the duration of a menstrual cycle.

Our patients have been so amazing by adding their donations to their bills, and we appreciate every single contribution. Thank you!
