If you’ve popped in recently, you would have noticed our new look and we're sure you will agree that your favourite Skin Renewal branch is looking better than ever! We’re always incredibly proud to be a part of the Skin Renewal family, and we know that the group-wide rebrand is just the start of an exciting new chapter of industry-leading innovation.
We love the “old” Parkhurst houses with the pressed ceilings and wooden finishes; they just need a little love and attention from time to time. Nothing that a little maintenance and paint can’t fix.
Branch leader, Sharon van Drunick, has worked at Skin Renewal for over six years, having begun her Skin Renewal career at the West Rand branch before joining our Parkhurst family last year in September.
When Sharon is not at work she's outside – hiking, scuba diving and travelling – and exploring new ways to feed her adventurous spirit.

Dr Trent recommends: Injectables
When we’re young, we have plenty of collagen, which means the lines and wrinkles we have, are ‘dynamic’, showing up when we’re expressive or our faces are ‘in motion’. As we age, our collagen production slows and these dynamic wrinkles and lines become static wrinkles or “cracks” in the skin. Each time we use a facial muscle, a groove forms beneath the surface of the skin, which is why we see lines form with each facial expression.
"As skin ages and loses its elasticity, the skin stops springing back to its line-free state, and these grooves become permanently etched on the face as fine lines and wrinkles." says Dr Trent.

Every year 10,000 girls miss school due to them not having proper sanitary wear. Skin Renewal’s vision is to facilitate infinite transformation to all the lives we touch, and, this year, we’re continuing to partner with Komani – across all 18 of our branches nationwide – to transform young lives by helping to stop period poverty.
Komani produces high-quality reusable, washable sanitary pads which are both sustainable and environmentally friendly. We aim to donate 1000 packs of reusable sanitary packs to each of the charities we support. For every 100 packs we receive, we will spend time with the beneficiaries (of the three charities we support in each province) educating the recipients on personal hygiene and how to use and maintain their sanitary pack. The cost of a pack is just R150 and the pads can last up to three years; requiring only 6 litres of water to wash the pads for the duration of a menstrual cycle.
