This month we’re definitely having cake – and eating it – as we celebrate our four-year anniversary since we moved to our beautiful Morningside branch at the Sandton Day Hospital. We’d like to take this opportunity to thank you, the friends of our branch (who have become like family), for your loyal support. You are the reason our experienced, passionate and 'best in the business’ doctors, nurses, therapists, management and backstage team are truly able to love what they do, every day. Here’s to our best year yet as we continue to transform lives and many, many more selfies on, as we affectionately call, our ‘staircase to heaven’.
Like the Beyoncé song says, if you like it then you should’ve put a ring on it. Well, recently, two of our team members’ significant others did just that. Congratulations to our Branch Manager, Donné and Therapist Bianca on their recent engagements. We’re not surprised that they said “Yes!” to their respective Misters and we wish them all the best as they prepare to say “Yes!” to the dress, too.
It’s that time of the year again, when you can pop-in to pick up a couple of jars of your favourite skincare lotions and potions, and a jar of decadently delicious, festively decorated cookies, too. Our Christmas cookies are back, available for purchase at our branch until the end of November, with all proceeds going to the Kliptown Community in Soweto – ensuring a happy festive season for the communities we support. Born in Port Elizabeth, where she also completed her school years and tertiary education, Thabisa has always been intrigued by the beauty industry so when it came time to choose a career path, she enrolled at Elizabeth’s Beauty School and the rest, as they say, is history. It’s the combination of what she’s learnt (at high-end luxury spas and on international cruise liners) and what can’t be taught – her excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, and outgoing nature – that makes Thabiso such a perfect fit within the Skin Renewal team.
Being a single parent, Thabisa’s daughter is her greatest source of inspiration, the reason she wakes up every day committed to doing her best in the present to build a beautiful future for them both. As a single mom, it’s also not surprising that she picks a well-deserved Thai massage as her ideal way to spend a day off.
