Our Skin Renewal Morningside branch has had lots to celebrate lately, from not one but two weddings (complete with breathtakingly beautiful brides) to one of our favourite humans sporting a baby bump around the branch.
A heartfelt "Congratulations!" to Bianca, who tied the knot looking absolutely exquisite on 19 March
Beautiful Donné and the "Mr" to her "Mrs" recently celebrated their one-month anniversary, having said "I do" on 22 February.
Baby bumping in style, Abigail has had us all feeling a little broody and envious of her pregnancy glow. Well into her second trimester, Abigail's little one is due at the end of July!
On Monday 11 April the meeting of hearts and minds took place in the Streetscapes garden in Roeland Street, Western Cape. Skin Renewal has had a strong working relationship with Streetscapes for over six years and this year has forged a relationship with Komani.
The Skin Renewal team met with Komani and Streetscapes founders in the garden to not only give the beneficiaries their box of Komani reusable sanitary pads but most importantly to take part in education and discussion. An experience that was both enlightening and profoundly humble saw the Komani founder Stephanie Lamour connect with the women in a meaningful and genuine way as they spoke about the importance of a menstrual cycle.
All present were reminded that as a woman it represents a healthy body and rather than a burden, it is a blessing to celebrate.The women were given a demonstration as to the contents of each box of Komani pads, what materials are used and educated on the fact that the 4 Komani reusable pads in their boxes would replace 400 pads which they would have to purchase a year. One box lasts three years.
A powerful, enlightening and uplifting time was shared. The Skin Renewal team felt privileged to be in a position to connect the two organisations and continue to raise awareness of the opportunities which exist to enhance and transform lives.

A familiar face behind the front desk when you pop in for some skin TLC at the Morningside branch, Donné started her journey at Skin Renewal in 2012, which means this year marks a decade as part of the Skin Renewal family. A lover of all things anti-acne and anti-ageing, it brings her great joy to be able to share all Skin Renewal's "not so secret" secrets with our branch's patients. She feels incredibly fortunate to work in an environment that offers its patients the latest and greatest that the aesthetics industry offers.
What's the one question she gets asked most?
"Do we treat men?"
Her answer? "Yes, we certainly do! The treatments and products we offer suit both men and women, and I firmly believe that everybody should practice self-care. We can adjust your product and treatment recommendation to be easy-peasy AND effective."
What product does she love at the moment?

This year will be Laurel's 3-year anniversary with Skin Renewal as the desk member confirming all your bookings and the face behind our WhatsApp. A mom of two little girls, with her eldest having just started "big school". Laurel feels like her school career has started all over again with Grade 1 homework.
What's the one question she gets asked most? "Do you have a loyalty programme?"
