The past month has been a joy-filled one, from celebrating Heritage Day and Skin Renewal’s 16th birthday to celebrating the achievements of our team at the Fourways Branch, professionally and personally. We’ve enjoyed warm welcomes and fond farewells, gotten to know our neighbours a little better, added an anti-ageing superhero to our range of injectables, and that’s not all. We’ve got lots of news to share with you, so let’s get going.
But first, coffee…
Whether you’re building a business, raising a family or doing your best cheerleader impersonation for a cause close to your heart, it always takes a village. And we love that DC coffee is a part of ours. Not only because they make a mean shot of caffeine but because they’re kind enough to drop some off with us, with a different kind of caffeine – words of encouragement. Over the past 18 months there has been little cause for celebration so we were so appreciative of the opportunity to celebrate Skin Renewal’s ‘sweet sixteen’. Sixteen years in business in normal times is no small feat and in challenging times it’s an even bigger achievement.
They say time flies when you’re having fun and the time really has flown. It’s been 16 years since our Founder, Dr Maureen Allem, started Skin Renewal and it’s nothing short of inspiring to have seen that one branch grow 18 branches in three provinces. What sets Skin Renewal apart – apart from the dream team we’re so proud to be a part of – is that it’s a solely owned business which enables seamless integration between all 18 branches. What does that mean for you? If you need to replenish your products or even to enjoy a treatment when you’re on holiday or travelling for work, you can pop into any branch and they’ll have all your info and treatment history within a few taps on a keyboard. That’s the beauty of having gone digital – your skincare journey can continue at any of our branches.
As with any birthday, there’s always cause for reflection and goal-setting for the year ahead. Our goals include an ongoing commitment to sustainability, in every sense of the word, and an ongoing passion for like-minded, purpose-driven partnerships. Our beloved Cece has decided to spend more time with her beautiful family in Malawi. We will miss this incredible therapist and thank her for EVERYTHING.
