Like all families, the Skin Renewal one is certainly dynamic, which is why we are very excited that the dynamic Dr Nicolette – with her wealth of knowledge in the medical aesthetic industry – has joined the Skin Renewal Durban team.
With a passion-driven understanding of the fact that being an aesthetic medical doctor focuses on more than just the skin and its concerns, Dr Nicolette’s approach is one of using an evidence-based background to holistically provide patients with the best treatments and services tailored to their individual needs.
A born and bred Jozi girl, Dr Nicolette graduated from the University of Pretoria in 2019 and first fell in love with the beautiful coast of KZN while completing her internship in Durban. She was subsequently posted to Mpumalanga for her community service, after which she decided to relocate and return to the tropical coastline of KZN.
Being a health fanatic, she has always felt that medicine is her calling, and she has cultivated this love of medicine further by exploring the integral role that nutrition and lifestyle play in the course of a disease.
“The Skin Renewal ethos of looking at one's skin as the dashboard to one's body resonated with me,” she explains, “which is why I jumped at the opportunity to join the Skin Renewal family and experience training and ongoing learning with Founder and Medical Director Dr Maureen Allem.”
FUN FACT: Dr Nicolette is highly creative and a passionate animal lover who enjoys spending her free time singing, learning to paint, spending time at the beach, and riding horses.
Dr Nicolette is excited to take you on your Skin Renewal journey by helping to create a plan for you that improves not only your skin but also your general well-being and self-confidence. She’s currently consulting from Skin Renewal Durban on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and, once a month, on a Saturday.

Samantha took a short break earlier this month to get away with her handsome husband for their 2-year anniversary. They loved their week in Cape Town, which was spent exploring and having lots of “crazy fun!” – like taking a moment to capture themselves being silly in front of the Funhouse Mirror at the Science Centre.
Despite the cold weather, Kovanna recently spent a heart-warming, beautiful long weekend in the Drakensberg, enjoying quality time with her loved ones because, “it is always lovely to take time out to do things you love with people you love,” she says.

“It’s a Carnival” was the gorgeously fun theme of Sohana’s grandson’s first birthday and, judging by the pics, it was a truly ONE-derful celebration.
