We are thrilled to welcome Samantha, our Assistant Manager, who joined our branch in March. Originally from Kimberley, Samantha worked at the West Rand Branch as a therapist before joining us in Durban. She has already become a part of our family, and we look forward to introducing you to her soon. Samantha recently got married to her handsome sweetheart of many years, and we wish her all the very best for a special and happy partnership.
Tasmin Leighton, our gorgeous medical therapist, recently graduated Cum Laude after completing her honours in Medical Aesthetics. We are most proud of her and her achievements.
Kovanna Naidu, our beloved medical therapist also got married this year, making it the year to celebrate marriage at the Durban branch! Look at how stunning she was as a traditional Hindu bride.
Esme Pretorius, our favourite nurse celebrated a birthday last month, and as always, we spoilt her with her favourite cake (she always spoils us with her home-baked goodies).
Victor, our leader, celebrated his birthday as well, and we were blessed to share a special dinner with him. No words can convey how grateful we are to be a part of this wonderful team.

Dr Caitlin Von Badeleben consulted with a patient who wanted to get rid of her crow’s feet/ laughter lines on the sides of her eyes. Dr Caitlin did botulinum toxin A injections, blocking out signals from the nerves to the muscles. We will continue walking a maintenance journey with her to see how treatments progressively create better-looking skin. Skin Renewal KZN chose to support The Seed Fund as the benefactor of our 2021 charity drive. The Seed Fund is a non-profit organisation aiming to awaken the dreams of an improved future in each poverty-stricken child at the Malacca Road informal settlement in Durban North.
On 14 June 2020, the settlement was hit hard by a devastating fire, which destroyed most residents homes. We joined in the effort to deal with the aftermath of this disaster by collecting blankets, clothing and food, and we are raising funds to assist with the rebuilding of homes for this community.
Our first fundraising campaign that we ran this year was generously sponsored to us by Drakensberg Gardens and Resorts. We held a raffle, and our winner of a weekend getaway was won by one of our patients Wenona Wiggill pictured below.
All funds raised get used towards sponsoring meals or buying much-needed supplies for the children.
Our next initiative is further fundraising for outdoor play equipment for the schoolyard. We have been sponsored a fantastic hamper from SkinCeuticals, Lamelle and Neostrata valued at over R6000.
Your entry for the raffle will go towards raising sponsorship for the Seeds Funds school buddy system.
Our aim is to sponsor as many children with the proceeds as possible.
They need R250 per month to help with the following necessities:
- School transport;
- Stationery;
- Uniform;
- Extramural activities/outings;
- A small contribution to school fees at the end of the year
