Hello, hello! Been wondering what’s been happening at the Bedfordview branch? Grab a cup of coffee and let’s jump right into a catch-up!

First up, we’re extremely proud to announce that we were awarded ‘top branch’ in Gauteng for 2020. We couldn’t have done this without all our amazing patients and are so grateful for your support.

Teamwork makes the dream work!

Branch manager Janet is seen here with her team of housekeepers, front desk staff and therapists

Staff News

It’s not all work and no play. Therapist Durea Jejane recently enjoyed a well-deserved break to Pilanesberg National Park for an amazing safari at the site of an ancient crater that used to be a volcano!

Therapist Rene Croukamp celebrated her daughter Chinique’s first birthday. She and her family enjoyed a little adventure to the Modderfontein nature reserve where you’ll find a great farmers market and pretty picnic area.

As for Housekeeper Nuzoko Siboto, she’s back from her maternity leave after spending 4 months with her beautiful baby boy. We’re very happy to have her join our team again.

We’ve had the pleasure of welcoming Dr Helenka Fourie to our branch. We’ve been so impressed by her warmth and expertise and just know she’ll feel right at home with us. Dr Helenka was bullied for her freckles and red hair as a child, she became a fashion model and it was during this time that her interest in medical aesthetics stemmed as she feels it is so closely linked to self-confidence. She celebrates enhancing your natural beauty through aesthetics.

We look forward to introducing you to Dr Helenka and giving her the opportunity to create a bespoke skincare journey for you.

Branch Manager, Janet Cloete, celebrated her 7th wedding anniversary as well as 13 years with our company and still going strong! Time sure flies and it’s hard to believe her son, little Caleb, is in Grade R this year.

Crown Ambition

We’ve very proud to be the “home branch” of Thenjiwe Mduli who’s just been crowned this year’s Mrs. South Africa. Her lovely personality and caring nature means we always look forward to her visits and we’re honoured to help her put her best face forward.

Mall Makeover

Village View, our shopping center is almost done with renovations and it’s looking absolutely beautiful.

Once you’re done with visiting us, you can shop in a wide range of gorgeous boutiques, grab a few groceries from Woolworths Food, or pop in for a bite at Tasha’s, Pigalle, or the newly opened Fireroom.

A few of our faves

Winter is coming so our therapists (who are all senior therapists, just so you know) are favouring Fractional Fusion. It’s a great way to treat wrinkles, pigmentation and even scarring.

As far as favourite products go, we’re loving new SkinCeutical’s Silymarine CF serum. It’s a potent antioxidant serum specially formulated for oily and blemish-prone skin that refines the skin texture while visibly improving the skin’s clarity and diminishing the look of fine lines.

With the ups and downs of the past year the one thing that has remained strong is our commitment to the Kliptown Community. We continue to support the community by assisting with seedlings and gardening tools. We also love to support our Gogos who are always in need of fabric as well as used Douwe Egberts coffee containers which these industrious women are transforming into beautiful candles. If you would like to find out how you can be involved please chat to Janet and follow Skin Renewals dedicated CSI Facebook page.

Passionate about the earth and eager to leave a legacy Skin Renewal is on a journey to be sustainable. In our branch we always ensure that any machines not in use are unplugged, we have LED lights and implement recycling. We also have the wonder plant Spekboom in our pot plants should you wish to take a snip home to propagate in your garden. We are fortunate to have the beautiful Catherine Constantinides come to our branch for treatments. A prominent South African thought leader and environmentalist focused on climate change we love her visits and the green tips she shares. Be sure to follow our Main Facebook page (SkinRenewalSA) for our weekly Sustainability updates and insights.
